Finals are over

Finals are over and I am happy to say - he passed everything and the tension level is gone! He did well in all of his classes. The new semester will now include Chemistry. I am going to buy him Chemistry for Dummies as Nick does not do well in science and I am no help as that was my worst subject in high school.

College scholarships are in as well and now its my turn to figure out how the federal aid works. When I filled out my paper work it was simple, get my parents taxes and fill in the blanks, now with the age of the Internet everything is get a pin, fill this out, wait for emails, and fill more out. I am hoping he will qualify for something - heck even 100 bucks would be great!

We are also getting ready to help teach karate again which is actually a good thing. He gets to teach the kiddos and train at the same time. As much as he says he gets frustrated when the kids don't behave - part of him really likes it when he teaches! Also this month we will be helping with the LoneStar Naska Open. Nick won't be competing but I will be.

Until next time!

Finals are coming

Nick is eligible to exempt all his finals but he is choosing to be smart and only exempt those he knows will not hurt his grades and take the finals that will bring up his average. I am now starting the financial applications and finding out what moneys he will be able to get.

We wont know about colleges til the letters will start coming in which I believe will be late Feb/March. So the waiting game begins.
